Investment Strategy

The Sub-fund aims to produce monthly income. Opportunities for capital growth are also sought, subject to prevailing market conditions. The Sub-fund will invest at least 80% in a diversified portfolio of investment grade and sub-investment grade bonds, issued by corporate issuers, public bodies and supranationals, and developed market government bonds. The Sub-fund will be actively managed through bond selection and strategic asset allocation.

Subsequently, he was Head of Bond Options at Banque Paribas. Prior to joining Baillie Gifford in 2001, he was a High Yield Portfolio Manager at Gulf International Bank.
Patrick Edwardson Partner 1999 2001
Biography Patrick graduated BSc in Banking and International Finance from Cass Business School in 1993. He joined Baillie Gifford the same year and after his initial training he joined the Fixed Income Team where he spent five years as an Investment Manager. In 2000, Patrick moved to the UK Equity Team and took on the management of UK equity assets for balanced clients and various UK income portfolios. In 2007 he began initial development of our Diversified Growth product and is Head of the Multi Asset Team. Patrick became a Partner in 2005.
