The aim of this Fund is to provide long-term capital growth over a period of 5 years or more. The Fund invests in shares of listed healthcare companies including producers of pharmaceuticals, biotechnology firms, medical device and instrument manufacturers, distributors of healthcare products, care providers and managers and other healthcare services companies, which the Manager believes will provide above-average returns. The Fund invests in companies of any size which can be based anywhere in the world albeit the Fund tends to be biased towards the US, as this is where the majority of healthcare related companies are based. The Manager selects shares based upon analysis of a company’s financial status, quality of its management, expected profitability and prospects for growth.

Biography | Peter joined Redwheel in July 2023 as a Partner and Portfolio Manager. He will manage the Redwheel Life Changing Treatments strategy. Before Redwheel, Peter was Portfolio Manager of the AXA World Funds Longevity Economy fund and AXA Framlington Health fund, specialising in healthcare. Before this, he held appointments at Architas, in roles covering investment research and relationship management. Peter holds a PhD in biochemistry from University College London. He has a master's degree in chemistry from the University of Surrey and is a CFA Charterholder. He is also an ambassador for the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. Biography | Deane joined Polar Capital in June 2013 as a senior analyst for the Healthcare team and has over 34 years’ industry experience, including over 15 years within healthcare asset management. She trained as a clinical pharmacist, graduating with a post baccalaureate Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Georgia. Deane began her career at the Medical College of Georgia, before becoming a clinical specialist in Drug Information and Adult Internal Medicine with Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. After several years, she moved to the UK to join Framlington (now AXA Framlington) applying her extensive pharmaceutical expertise working as an analyst for the healthcare unit trust, led by Anthony Milford. She went on to become lead portfolio manager of the Framlington Healthcare and Framlington Biotechnology funds. Deane is both a US and UK citizen. | ||
