Dare I say a “Must-read” entry in Counterstrike today as Jeremy Mullin dropped some knowledge for all of us. He’s got the cautionary tale of the Priceline earnings reaction as well as some Fib targets on crude.

“Instead of my normal market commentary I wanted to discuss an earnings move that was pretty serious. Priceline had one of the biggest earnings blowups you’ll ever see point wise. The stock was down over $250 points, or 13.5%, after a disappointing guidance. The move put the stock below the 50-day and the 200-day and has investors asking if the bull market is over for Priceline.”

Oil was a common theme in commentary today with the good Dr. John Blank chiming in on Saudi Arabia in his Large Cap Trader portfolio that’s been absolutely crushing it since inception.

“Early gains had come despite Saudi Arabia stepping up its war of words against archrival Iran. The country, whose weekend crackdown on dozens of prices, ministers and tycoons drove up demand for haven assets on Monday, has accused Iran of “direct military aggression” by supplying missiles to Yemeni rebels, according to the state news agency.”

Today's Portfolio Highlights:

The Short List took a few scalps, ringing up profits on Ctrip.com (CTRP, 8.67%) and Oneok (OKE, 1.79%)

Brian Bolan cut bait and took a win on Tactile Systems (TCMD, 8.27%) in Home Run Investor

Kevin cook added Alexion Pharma (ALXN) to Healthcare Innovators

Some handsome devil added Paycom (PAYC) in Momentum Trader and Meritor (MTOR) in Surprise Trader.

That’s all I got for you here with Zacks Ultimate, Jim will be back with you tomorrow.

Have a great night,

Dave
