Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) introduced a plug-in hybrid vehicle with the capacity to drive 21 miles on a single charge. The company designed this Special Service Plug-In Hybrid Sedan for police, detectives, fire chiefs and other government personnel.

The vehicle’s 3.3-kilowatt on-board charger has the ability to fully charge the 7.6-kilowatt-hour battery in two and a half hours via a 240-volt, level-two charger, keeping it running for 21 miles. Further, the car’s lithium-ion battery can alone drive it up to 85 miles per hour (mph). One big advantage is that the vehicle’s gasoline-electric hybrid powerplant has the efficiency to cross 500 miles, lest the battery happens to exhaust.

The sedan’s interior is furnished with bolster reduced heavy-duty cloth front seats, rear anti-stab plates and vinyl rear seating and flooring. Additionally, the vehicle has unique alloy wheels and police engine-idle features.

Ford Motor Company Price and Consensus

Interested customers can order for this new plug-in hybrid sedan from December onward. The sale will kick off from next summer.

Price Performance

Last month, shares of the company have outperformed the industry it belongs to. The stock has gained 0.7% against the industry’s 4.3% decline.
