A funny thing happened again in markets today as overnight risk-off behavior put the domestic market in a whole at the open. Again, the resilient US market fought its way back, or at least tried to. Ultimately the bulls couldn’t muster the strength to get us back to breakeven despite a valiant effort. All the while, earnings reports were popping off left and right. Despite the distractions, the market remained fixated on the next leg higher.

Cognex (NASDAQ:CGNX)
Cognex Corporation provides machine vision products that capture and analyze visual information in order to automate tasks primarily in manufacturing processes worldwide. The company offers machine vision products, which are used to automate the manufacturing and tracking of discrete items, such as mobile phones, aspirin bottles, and automobile tires by locating, identifying, inspecting, and measuring them during the manufacturing or distribution process.
Warrior Met Coal (NYSE:HCC)
Warrior Met Coal, LLC engages in mining and exporting metallurgical coal for the steel industry. It operates two underground mines comprising Mine No. 4 and Mine No. 7 with an estimated annual production capacity of 7.3 million metric tons of coal located in Alabama. The company sells its metallurgical coal to a diversified customer base of blast furnace steel producers primarily in Europe and South America.
