Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Energy & Utilities, Petrochemicals and Media & Publishing sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share added 0.79%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Allied Cooperative Insurance Group SJSC (TADAWUL:8150), which rose 6.50% or 1.30 points to trade at 21.30 at the close. Meanwhile, International Company for Water and Power Projects (ACWA Power) (TADAWUL:2082) added 6.19% or 26.80 points to end at 459.60 and MBC Group CJSC (TADAWUL:4072) was up 4.69% or 2.40 points to 53.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bindawood Holding Co (TADAWUL:4161), which fell 9.98% or 0.89 points to trade at 8.03 at the close. AL-BABTAIN POWER &TELECOM CO (TADAWUL:2320) declined 7.67% or 3.55 points to end at 42.75 and Al Baha Investment and Development Company SJSC (TADAWUL:4130) was down 7.14% or 0.01 points to 0.13.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 178 to 102 and 16 ended unchanged.
Shares in Allied Cooperative Insurance Group SJSC (TADAWUL:8150) rose to 52-week highs; rising 6.50% or 1.30 to 21.30. Shares in Al Baha Investment and Development Company SJSC (TADAWUL:4130) fell to 52-week lows; down 7.14% or 0.01 to 0.13.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.61% or 0.48 to $79.11 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.47% or 0.39 to hit $83.14 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.35% or 8.30 to trade at $2,386.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.14% to 4.07, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.00% to 3.75.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 104.38.
