Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as in the sectors led shares .

The best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Jui Li (TW:1512), which rose 9.97% or 0.68 points to trade at 7.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Ichia (TW:2402) added 9.95% or 1.85 points to end at 20.45 and Kinko Optical (TW:6209) was up 9.92% or 2.55 points to 28.25 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Action Eltr (TW:3024), which fell 7.09% or 0.670 points to trade at 8.780 at the close. Taiwan Mask (TW:2338) declined 5.93% or 0.80 points to end at 12.70 and Yageo Corp (TW:2327) was down 5.88% or 4.70 points to 75.30.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 430 to 339 and 111 ended unchanged.
Shares in Jui Li (TW:1512) rose to 52-week highs; rising 9.97% or 0.68 to 7.50. Shares in Ichia (TW:2402) rose to 52-week highs; rising 9.95% or 1.85 to 20.45. Shares in Kinko Optical (TW:6209) rose to 52-week highs; rising 9.92% or 2.55 to 28.25.
Crude oil for April delivery was down 0.46% or 0.25 to $53.58 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.35% or 0.20 to hit $56.16 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.36% or 4.50 to trade at $1245.50 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was up 0.09% to 30.800, while TWD/CNY fell 0.04% to 0.2234.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 101.91.
