Investing.com - Asian shares gain on Wednesday as China economic data calmed regional growth concerns.
The Shanghai Composite gained 0.11% and the S&P/ASX rose 039%.
China reported third quarter GDP with a quarter-on-quarter gain of 1.8% meeting expectations along with a year-on-year pace of 6.7% along with solid figures for retail sales, industrial output and fixed asset investment.
The Nikkei 225 rose 0.11%.
U.S. stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Healthcare and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in NYSE, the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 0.42%, while the S&P 500 index gained 0.62%, and the NASDAQ Composite index added 0.85%.
