Investing.com – Russia stocks were mixed after the close on Monday, as gains in the Manufacturing, Power and Telecom sectors led shares higher while losses in the Oil and Gas, Mining and Telecom sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Moscow, the RTSI rose 1.70%, while the MICEX index lost 0.39%.
The best performers of the session on the RTSI were Sollers (MCX:SVAV), which rose 10.28% or 33.0 points to trade at 354.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Pharmstandard JSC (MCX:PHST) added 10.05% or 95.0 points to end at 1040.0 and LSR (MCX:LSRG) was up 8.11% or 39.0 points to 520.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tatneft-3 (MCX:TATN), which fell 3.43% or 11.50 points to trade at 324.00 at the close. Lukoil (MCX:LKOH) declined 3.34% or 104.1 points to end at 3016.0 and MegaFon OAO (MCX:MFON) was down 2.49% or 27.00 points to 1058.00.
The top performers on the MICEX were Sollers (MCX:SVAV) which rose 10.28% to 354.0, Pharmstandard JSC (MCX:PHST) which was up 10.05% to settle at 1040.0 and LSR (MCX:LSRG) which gained 8.11% to close at 520.0.
The worst performers were Tatneft-3 (MCX:TATN) which was down 3.43% to 324.00 in late trade, Lukoil (MCX:LKOH) which lost 3.34% to settle at 3016.0 and MegaFon OAO (MCX:MFON) which was down 2.49% to 1058.00 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 97 to 56 and 6 ended unchanged.
Gold for April delivery was up 0.45% or 5.50 to $1240.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude Oil for delivery in March rose 2.69% or 1.39 to hit $53.08 a barrel, while the April Brent Oil contract rose 1.05% or 0.61 to trade at $59.30 a barrel.
USD/RUB was down 2.24% to 65.575, while EUR/RUB fell 2.21% to 74.262.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.12% at 94.73.
