Investing.com - Markets in Asia traded mixed on Wednesday with pressure on oil prices hitting energy shares.
The Shanghai composite eased 0.37% and the Shenzhen composite fell 0.29%.
Australia's S&P/ASX 200 rose 0.24% with oil plays lower as Santos shares fell 1.16%, Oil Search down 0.65% and Beach Energy lower by 2.32 %. The Nikkei 225 inched up 0.19%.
Overnight, U.S. stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Technology, Consumer Goods and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in NYSE, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.19%, while the S&P 500 index gained 0.02%, and the NASDAQ Composite index climbed 0.19%.
