Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Transport, Technology and Basic Metals sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 1.09%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were ODAS Elektrik Uretim Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:ODAS), which rose 9.38% or 0.180 points to trade at 2.100 at the close. Meanwhile, Ulker Biskuvi Sanayi AS (IS:ULKER) added 5.76% or 1.06 points to end at 19.46 and Anadolu Cam Sanayi AS (IS:ANACM) was up 4.45% or 0.130 points to 3.050 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Turk Hava Yollari AO (IS:THYAO), which fell 4.28% or 0.660 points to trade at 14.760 at the close. Pegasus Hava Tasimaciligi AS (IS:PGSUS) declined 3.96% or 1.200 points to end at 29.120 and Trakya Cam Sanayi AS (IS:TRKCM) was down 3.58% or 0.130 points to 3.500.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 248 to 116 and 42 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.23% or 3.05 to $1322.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 1.69% or 0.91 to hit $54.70 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 1.89% or 1.15 to trade at $61.99 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 1.13% to 5.2187, while EUR/TRY rose 1.28% to 5.9855.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 95.222.
