Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Technology, Basic Metals and Transport sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.94%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Metro Ticari ve Mali Yatirimlar Holding AS (IS:METRO), which rose 3.85% or 0.030 points to trade at 0.810 at the close. Meanwhile, Trabzonspor Sportif Yatirim ve Futbol Isletmeciligi Ticaret AS (IS:TSPOR) added 3.73% or 0.050 points to end at 1.390 and Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS) was up 3.33% or 0.010 points to 0.310 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ICBC Turkey Bank AS (IS:ICBCT), which fell 19.96% or 2.250 points to trade at 9.020 at the close. Vakif Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:VKGYO) declined 7.37% or 0.160 points to end at 2.010 and Kiler Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:KLGYO) was down 6.70% or 0.130 points to 1.810.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 306 to 76 and 25 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.48% or 6.00 to $1241.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 1.75% or 0.92 to hit $51.66 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract fell 1.19% or 0.73 to trade at $60.72 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.63% to 5.3744, while EUR/TRY fell 0.09% to 6.0750.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.46% at 97.500.
