Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Basic Metals, Transport and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 1.88%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS Class D (IS:KRDMD), which rose 8.33% or 0.250 points to trade at 3.250 at the close. Meanwhile, Kiler Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:KLGYO) added 6.79% or 0.110 points to end at 1.730 and Pegasus Hava Tasimaciligi AS (IS:PGSUS) was up 6.70% or 1.400 points to 22.300 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ODAS Elektrik Uretim Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:ODAS), which fell 6.73% or 0.200 points to trade at 2.770 at the close. Ege Endustri ve Ticaret AS (IS:EGEEN) declined 3.90% or 15.50 points to end at 381.50 and Alarko Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:ALGYO) was down 2.29% or 1.30 points to 55.50.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 240 to 102 and 63 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.22% or 2.70 to $1233.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.61% or 0.39 to hit $63.30 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.04% or 0.03 to trade at $72.92 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 1.69% to 5.4196, while EUR/TRY fell 2.07% to 6.1704.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.27% at 96.34.
