Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Basic Metals and Transport sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.48%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Erbosan Erciyas Boru Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:ERBOS), which rose 8.82% or 5.55 points to trade at 68.45 at the close. Meanwhile, Trakya Cam Sanayi AS (IS:TRKCM) added 4.25% or 0.150 points to end at 3.680 and Turkiye Is Bankasi AS Class C (IS:ISCTR) was up 3.91% or 0.210 points to 5.580 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Aygaz AS (IS:AYGAZ), which fell 5.82% or 0.70 points to trade at 11.33 at the close. ENKA Insaat ve Sanayi AS (IS:ENKAI) declined 5.01% or 0.250 points to end at 4.740 and Anadolu Efes Biracilik ve Malt Sanayi AS (IS:AEFES) was down 4.97% or 1.03 points to 19.71.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 180 to 172 and 52 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.17% or 2.25 to $1312.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.28% or 0.15 to hit $53.75 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 0.35% or 0.22 to trade at $63.83 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.49% to 5.3057, while EUR/TRY rose 0.61% to 5.9833.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 97.018.
