Investing.com – Russia stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil and Gas, Telecom and Mining sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Moscow, the RTSI rose 0.47%, while the MICEX index added 0.31%.
The best performers of the session on the RTSI were TMK ao (MCX:TRMK), which rose 27.48% or 10.80 points to trade at 50.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Uralkaliy (MCX:URKA) added 6.96% or 10.15 points to end at 156.00 and LSR (MCX:LSRG) was up 5.43% or 25.0 points to 485.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pharmstandard JSC (MCX:PHST), which fell 3.29% or 35.0 points to trade at 1030.0 at the close. Mostotrest (MCX:MSTT) declined 2.93% or 2.10 points to end at 69.50 and Magnit (MCX:MGNT) was down 2.65% or 320.0 points to 11750.0.
The top performers on the MICEX were TMK ao (MCX:TRMK) which rose 27.48% to 50.10, Uralkaliy (MCX:URKA) which was up 6.96% to settle at 156.00 and LSR (MCX:LSRG) which gained 5.43% to close at 485.0.
The worst performers were Pharmstandard JSC (MCX:PHST) which was down 3.29% to 1030.0 in late trade, Mostotrest (MCX:MSTT) which lost 2.93% to settle at 69.50 and Magnit (MCX:MGNT) which was down 2.65% to 11750.0 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Moscow Stock Exchange by 84 to 68 and 7 ended unchanged.
Gold for February delivery was down 0.78% or 10.20 to $1290.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude Oil for delivery in March fell 0.32% or 0.15 to hit $46.16 a barrel, while the March Brent Oil contract rose 1.19% or 0.57 to trade at $49.09 a barrel.
USD/RUB was down 1.02% to 63.767, while EUR/RUB fell 1.37% to 71.948.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.17% at 94.82.
