Investing.com – Indonesia stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Miscellaneous Industry, Basic Industry and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Jakarta, the IDX Composite Index fell 1.63%.
The best performers of the session on the IDX Composite Index were Jakarta Kyoei Steel Works Tbk (JK:JKSW), which rose 24.62% or 16 points to trade at 81 at the close. Meanwhile, Megapolitan Developments Tbk (JK:EMDE) added 16.13% or 25 points to end at 180 and Asia Pacific Fibers Tbk (JK:POLY) was up 14.29% or 11 points to 88 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Indo Kordsa Tbk (JK:BRAM), which fell 22.01% or 790 points to trade at 2800 at the close. Sejahteraraya Anugrahjaya Tbk (JK:SRAJ) declined 18.00% or 45 points to end at 205 and Supra Boga Lestari Tbk (JK:RANC) was down 11.34% or 39 points to 305.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Jakarta Stock Exchange by 242 to 65 and 35 ended unchanged.
Shares in Megapolitan Developments Tbk (JK:EMDE) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 16.13% or 25 to 180. Shares in Supra Boga Lestari Tbk (JK:RANC) fell to all time lows; losing 11.34% or 39 to 305.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.54% or 0.23 to $42.18 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.38% or 0.18 to hit $48.55 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.12% or 1.30 to trade at $1119.70 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was down 0.49% to 13805.0, while AUD/IDR fell 0.15% to 10158.00.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.09% at 96.75.
