Investing.com – Indonesia stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Miscellaneous Industry, Basic Industry and Agriculture sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Jakarta, the IDX Composite Index lost 0.82%.
The best performers of the session on the IDX Composite Index were Siantar Top Tbk (JK:STTP), which rose 24.60% or 760 points to trade at 3850 at the close. Meanwhile, Bank Dinar Indonesia Tbk (JK:DNAR) added 21.43% or 27.00 points to end at 153.00 and Indospring Tbk (JK:INDS) was up 12.71% or 75 points to 665 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Eureka Prima Jakarta Tbk (JK:LCGP), which fell 10.00% or 36 points to trade at 324 at the close. Maskapai Reasuransi Indonesia (JK:MREI) declined 9.83% or 450 points to end at 4130 and Saratoga Investama Sedaya (JK:SRTG) was down 9.64% or 320 points to 3000.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Jakarta Stock Exchange by 227 to 60 and 85 ended unchanged.
Shares in Siantar Top Tbk (JK:STTP) rose to all time highs; up 24.60% or 760 to 3850. Shares in Bank Dinar Indonesia Tbk (JK:DNAR) rose to 52-week highs; rising 21.43% or 27.00 to 153.00. Shares in Saratoga Investama Sedaya (JK:SRTG) fell to all time lows; down 9.64% or 320 to 3000.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 5.15% or 2.58 to $47.53 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 5.28% or 2.69 to hit $48.22 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 4.68% or 59.05 to trade at $1322.15 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was up 1.21% to 13425.0, while AUD/IDR fell 0.31% to 10058.70.
The US Dollar Index was up 2.49% at 95.65.
