Investing.com – Indonesia stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Financials, Infrastructure and Miscellaneous Industry sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Jakarta, the IDX Composite Index lost 0.65%.
The best performers of the session on the IDX Composite Index were Smr Utama Tbk (JK:SMRU), which rose 19.87% or 63 points to trade at 380 at the close. Meanwhile, Asuransi Harta Aman Pratama (JK:AHAP) added 10.46% or 16 points to end at 169 and Centratama Telekomunikasi Ind (JK:CENT) was up 10.00% or 15 points to 165 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Multifiling Mitra Indonesia (JK:MFMI), which fell 23.63% or 56 points to trade at 181 at the close. Wahana Pronatural (JK:WAPO) declined 20.24% or 17 points to end at 67 and Multi Prima Sejahtera Tbk (JK:LPIN) was down 19.86% or 1425 points to 5750.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Jakarta Stock Exchange by 219 to 89 and 35 ended unchanged.
Shares in Smr Utama Tbk (JK:SMRU) rose to 52-week highs; rising 19.87% or 63 to 380.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 1.08% or 0.57 to $52.47 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 1.21% or 0.71 to hit $57.97 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.07% or 0.80 to trade at $1154.30 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was up 0.17% to 13337.0, while AUD/IDR rose 0.29% to 9934.60.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.04% at 96.77.
