Investing.com – Indonesia stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financials, Mining and Consumer Industry sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Jakarta, the IDX Composite Index fell 0.57%.
The best performers of the session on the IDX Composite Index were Sidomulyo Selaras Tbk (JK:SDMU), which rose 34.62% or 54 points to trade at 210 at the close. Meanwhile, Bayan Resources Tbk (JK:BYAN) added 17.15% or 2050 points to end at 14000 and Tanah Laut Tbk (JK:INDX) was up 16.67% or 15 points to 105 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mitra Investindo Tbk (JK:MITI), which fell 17.02% or 16 points to trade at 78 at the close. Bentoel International Investama (JK:RMBA) declined 15.76% or 58 points to end at 310 and Asuransi Jasa Tania Tbk (JK:ASJT) was down 15.71% or 44.00 points to 236.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Jakarta Stock Exchange by 266 to 132 and 104 ended unchanged.
Shares in Bayan Resources Tbk (JK:BYAN) rose to 5-year highs; rising 17.15% or 2050 to 14000. Shares in Asuransi Jasa Tania Tbk (JK:ASJT) fell to 52-week lows; falling 15.71% or 44.00 to 236.00.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.35% or 0.24 to $67.84 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.09% or 0.07 to hit $74.62 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.83% or 10.50 to trade at $1258.40 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was up 0.66% to 14216.5, while AUD/IDR fell 0.25% to 10460.50.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.29% at 94.22.
