Investing.com – Indonesia stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Agriculture, Miscellaneous Industry and Basic Industry sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Jakarta, the IDX Composite Index lost 0.45%.
The best performers of the session on the IDX Composite Index were Intan Baruprana Finance Tbk (JK:IBFN), which rose 22.14% or 58.00 points to trade at 320.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Eterindo Wahanatama Tbk (JK:ETWA) added 21.14% or 26 points to end at 149 and Bali Towerindo Sentra Tbk (JK:BALI) was up 11.43% or 80.00 points to 780.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Asiaplast Industries Tbk (JK:APLI), which fell 15.28% or 11 points to trade at 61 at the close. Bank Maspion Indonesia Tbk (JK:BMAS) declined 14.21% or 54 points to end at 326 and Eka Sari Lorena Transport Tbk (JK:LRNA) was down 12.75% or 19.00 points to 130.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Jakarta Stock Exchange by 219 to 92 and 46 ended unchanged.
Shares in Asiaplast Industries Tbk (JK:APLI) fell to 52-week lows; falling 15.28% or 11 to 61. Shares in Bali Towerindo Sentra Tbk (JK:BALI) rose to 52-week highs; up 11.43% or 80.00 to 780.00.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.10% or 0.04 to $43.91 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.63% or 0.31 to hit $49.55 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.05% or 0.50 to trade at $1093.60 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was up 0.32% to 13556.0, while AUD/IDR fell 0.93% to 9955.35.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.25% at 97.90.
