Investing.com – Indonesia stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Infrastructure, Agriculture and Basic Industry sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Jakarta, the IDX Composite Index lost 0.18%.
The best performers of the session on the IDX Composite Index were Pudjiadi Prestige Tbk (JK:PUDP), which rose 34.67% or 69.00 points to trade at 268.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Newport Marine Services PT Tbk (JK:BOAT) added 33.77% or 52.00 points to end at 206.00 and Asuransi Jiwa Syariah Jasa Mitra Abadi Tbk PT (JK:JMAS) was up 25.66% or 29.00 points to 142.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Exploitasi Energi Indonesia (JK:CNKO), which fell 14.29% or 1.00 points to trade at 6.00 at the close. Diamond Citra Propertindo PT (JK:DADA) declined 12.50% or 1.00 points to end at 7.00 and Asuransi Bintang Tbk (JK:ASBI) was down 11.20% or 70.00 points to 555.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Jakarta Stock Exchange by 341 to 260 and 226 ended unchanged.
Shares in Newport Marine Services PT Tbk (JK:BOAT) rose to all time highs; gaining 33.77% or 52.00 to 206.00. Shares in Asuransi Bintang Tbk (JK:ASBI) fell to 52-week lows; falling 11.20% or 70.00 to 555.00.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.29% or 0.20 to $69.44 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.18% or 0.13 to hit $73.44 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.20% or 5.30 to trade at $2,625.70 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was up 0.33% to 15,890.10, while AUD/IDR rose 0.18% to 10,364.26.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.21% at 106.36.
