Investing.com – Indonesia stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Infrastructure, Financials and Basic Industry sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Jakarta, the IDX Composite Index rose 1.04%.
The best performers of the session on the IDX Composite Index were Mahaka Media Tbk (JK:ABBA), which rose 34.44% or 31 points to trade at 121 at the close. Meanwhile, Akbar Indomakmur Stimec Tbk (JK:AIMS) added 31.43% or 55 points to end at 230 and Destinasi Tirta Nusantara Tbk (JK:PDES) was up 25.00% or 270 points to 1350 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Victoria Investama Tbk (JK:VICO), which fell 23.13% or 37 points to trade at 123 at the close. MD Pictures Tbk PT (JK:FILM) declined 20.39% or 315 points to end at 1230 and Intermedia Capital Tbk (JK:MDIA) was down 19.44% or 28 points to 116.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Jakarta Stock Exchange by 239 to 149 and 111 ended unchanged.
Shares in Mahaka Media Tbk (JK:ABBA) rose to 3-years highs; up 34.44% or 31 to 121. Shares in Victoria Investama Tbk (JK:VICO) fell to 52-week lows; falling 23.13% or 37 to 123. Shares in Destinasi Tirta Nusantara Tbk (JK:PDES) rose to all time highs; up 25.00% or 270 to 1350. Shares in Intermedia Capital Tbk (JK:MDIA) fell to all time lows; down 19.44% or 28 to 116.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 1.44% or 1.01 to $69.36 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.82% or 0.65 to hit $79.09 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.03% or 0.40 to trade at $1210.50 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was up 0.22% to 14827.5, while AUD/IDR fell 0.28% to 10606.60.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 94.88.
