Investing.com – Indonesia stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Miscellaneous Industry, Financials and Basic Industry sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Jakarta, the IDX Composite Index rose 0.58%.
The best performers of the session on the IDX Composite Index were Bintang Mitra Semestaraya Tbk (JK:BMSR), which rose 34.52% or 58.00 points to trade at 226.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Magna Finance Tbk (JK:MGNA) added 28.05% or 23.00 points to end at 105.00 and Visi Telekomunikasi Infrastruktur Tbk PT (JK:GOLD) was up 24.19% or 90 points to 462 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tunas Alfin Tbk (JK:TALF), which fell 22.01% or 92 points to trade at 326 at the close. Panca Global Securities Tbk (JK:PEGE) declined 17.33% or 52.00 points to end at 248.00 and Malacca Trust Wuwungan Insurance PT (JK:MTWI) was down 15.00% or 30 points to 170.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Jakarta Stock Exchange by 199 to 143 and 124 ended unchanged.
Shares in Bintang Mitra Semestaraya Tbk (JK:BMSR) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 34.52% or 58.00 to 226.00. Shares in Malacca Trust Wuwungan Insurance PT (JK:MTWI) fell to all time lows; down 15.00% or 30 to 170.
Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.73% or 0.42 to $57.20 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.64% or 0.40 to hit $62.46 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.47% or 6.00 to trade at $1270.90 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was up 0.18% to 13546.2, while AUD/IDR rose 0.13% to 10297.50.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 93.26.
