Investing.com – Indonesia stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Agriculture, Miscellaneous Industry and Consumer Industry sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Jakarta, the IDX Composite Index added 0.37%.
The best performers of the session on the IDX Composite Index were Alakasa Industrindo Tbk (JK:ALKA), which rose 25.00% or 68 points to trade at 340 at the close. Meanwhile, Majapahit Inti Corpora Tbk PT (JK:AKSI) added 24.46% or 68 points to end at 346 and Austindo Nusantara Jaya Tbk (JK:ANJT) was up 15.21% or 165 points to 1250 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Skybee Tbk PT (JK:SKYB), which fell 17.18% or 56 points to trade at 270 at the close. Steady Safe TBK PT (JK:SAFE) declined 13.56% or 24 points to end at 153 and Bank Qnb Indonesia Tbk (JK:BKSW) was down 11.11% or 20 points to 160.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Jakarta Stock Exchange by 189 to 158 and 146 ended unchanged.
Shares in Bank Qnb Indonesia Tbk (JK:BKSW) fell to 5-year lows; losing 11.11% or 20 to 160.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.36% or 0.25 to $68.78 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 0.20% or 0.15 to hit $76.44 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.29% or 3.50 to trade at $1210.90 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was up 0.24% to 14668.2, while AUD/IDR fell 0.23% to 10709.00.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 94.73.
