Investing.com – France stocks were mixed after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Financials and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher while losses in the Utilities, General Financial and Industrial Engineering sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 lost 0.31%, while the SBF 120 index climbed 1.16%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Safran SA (EPA:SAF), which rose 2.34% or 4.70 points to trade at 205.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Schneider Electric SE (EPA:SCHN) added 1.24% or 2.80 points to end at 229.40 and Accor SA (EPA:ACCP) was up 1.12% or 0.42 points to 37.77 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Edenred SA (EPA:EDEN), which fell 13.49% or 5.66 points to trade at 36.29 at the close. Thales (EPA:TCFP) declined 6.70% or 10.35 points to end at 144.10 and Stellantis NV (EPA:STLAM) was down 2.18% or 0.41 points to 18.40.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Inter Parfums Inc. (EPA:IPAR) which rose 19.77% to 46.65, Sartorius Stedim Biotech SA (EPA:STDM) which was up 9.39% to settle at 159.00 and Opmobility SE (EPA:OPM) which gained 9.38% to close at 10.03.
The worst performers were Edenred SA (EPA:EDEN) which was down 13.49% to 36.29 in late trade, Beneteau SA (EPA:CHBE) which lost 12.19% to settle at 9.08 and Atos SE (EPA:ATOS) which was down 7.68% to 1.01 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 278 to 198 and 101 ended unchanged.

The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.44% or 10.65 to $2,405.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 2.31% or 1.81 to hit $76.59 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 2.06% or 1.70 to trade at $80.70 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.34% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.19% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 104.20.
