Investing.com – France stocks were mixed after the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology, Utilities and Financials sectors led shares higher while losses in the Oil & Gas, Electronic Equipment and Aerospace & Defense sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 lost 0.06% to hit a new 52-week low, while the SBF 120 index added 0.05%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Worldline SA (EPA:WLN), which rose 4.14% or 1.38 points to trade at 34.71 at the close. Meanwhile, EssilorLuxottica SA (EPA:ESLX) added 3.80% or 5.10 points to end at 139.25 and Danone SA (EPA:DANO) was up 3.24% or 1.63 points to 51.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were TotalEnergies SE (EPA:TTEF), which fell 5.06% or 2.63 points to trade at 49.34 at the close. Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA:EUFI) declined 3.49% or 2.66 points to end at 73.64 and Carrefour SA (EPA:CARR) was down 1.90% or 0.35 points to 18.29.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Mcphy Energy (EPA:MCPHY) which rose 7.34% to 13.90, Valneva (EPA:VLS) which was up 6.52% to settle at 7.94 and Orpea SA (EPA:ORP) which gained 5.88% to close at 22.50.
The worst performers were TotalEnergies SE (EPA:TTEF) which was down 5.06% to 49.34 in late trade, Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA:EUFI) which lost 3.49% to settle at 73.64 and Eramet SA (EPA:ERMT) which was down 2.99% to 103.80 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 307 to 235 and 85 ended unchanged.

The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.43% or 7.95 to $1,841.95 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 6.40% or 7.53 to hit $110.06 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 5.32% or 6.37 to trade at $113.44 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.75% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP rose 0.61% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 1.23% at 104.69.
