Investing.com - Asian stocks advanced on Friday as the Thanksgiving break in the U.S. helped slow a powerful rally in the dollar.
Japan's Nikkei was up 0.26% at the close, as the dollar moderated
But European markets were broadly lower, with Britain's FTSE 100 down 0.07%, Germany's DAX sliding 0.21% and France's CAC 40 off by 0.20%
The dollar index was at 101.45, down from its Thursday peak of 102.05, the highest level since March 2003.
Wall Street was closed on Thursday for the Thanksgiving holiday and trading will end early on Friday.
