Investing.com – U.S. stocks were lower early Thursday as ECB failed to deliver dovish message.
The DJI was down 0.34% at 10:30 ET, the S&P 500 fell 0.28% and the Nasdaq composite 0.48%.
U.S. stock index futures had pointed to Wall Street opening flat.
ECB left rates, bond buying program on hold. Draghi said later ECB did not discuss QE extension.
The euro jumped against the dollar, extending the dollar index's losses.
Stocks fell despite weekly jobless claims falling to a 7-week low of 259,000.
