Investing.com - U.S. stocks edged higher Thursday with Fed Chair Janet Yellen appearing before Congress.
The DJI was up 0.03%, while the S&P 500added 0.25%.
The tech-heavy Nasdaq composite put on 0.26%.
In prepared remarks prior to her appearance Yellen said a hike was on the cards "relatively soon."
Strong jobless claims and housing start data boosted the rational for a hike.
Investing.com's Fed Rate Monitor Tool shows a 90.6% chance of a December hike.
