Investing.com -- U.S. stock markets opened with a modest bounce on Tuesday, after fears that the coronavirus pandemic could push the U.S. economy into recession drove them to their worst one-day loss since the 1987 crash on Monday.
By 9:34 AM ET (1334 GMT), the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 375 points, or 1.9% at 20,487 points. The S&P 500 was up 2.3% and the Nasdaq Composite was up 2.4%.
