Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Transport, Information Technology and Basic Metals sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 2.37%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN), which rose 3.32% or 0.72 points to trade at 22.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Galatasaray Sportif Sinai ve Ticari Yatirimlar AS (IS:GSRAY) added 2.82% or 0.04 points to end at 1.46 and Anadolu Efes Biracilik ve Malt Sanayi AS (IS:AEFES) was up 2.80% or 0.50 points to 18.34 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Yatas Yatak ve Yorgan Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:YATAS), which fell 5.60% or 0.230 points to trade at 3.880 at the close. Petkim Petrokimya Holding AS (IS:PETKM) declined 5.21% or 0.280 points to end at 5.090 and Coca-Cola Icecek AS (IS:CCOLA) was down 5.18% or 1.64 points to 30.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 302 to 69 and 37 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.06% or 0.70 to $1192.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 2.32% or 1.74 to hit $73.22 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 1.98% or 1.68 to trade at $83.32 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 1.28% to 6.0238, while EUR/TRY fell 0.85% to 6.9567.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.28% at 95.09.
