Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Transport, Technology and Wood, Paper & Printing sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 1.78% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Turkiye Petrol Rafinerileri AS (IS:TUPRS), which rose 1.36% or 1.60 points to trade at 119.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Eregli Demir ve Celik Fabrikalari TAS (IS:EREGL) added 1.21% or 0.090 points to end at 7.500 and Soda Sanayi AS (IS:SODA) was up 0.40% or 0.020 points to 4.990 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Karsan Otomotiv Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KARSN), which fell 8.33% or 0.120 points to trade at 1.320 at the close. Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS) declined 7.94% or 0.050 points to end at 0.580 and Akenerji Elektrik Uretim AS (IS:AKENR) was down 7.14% or 0.070 points to 0.910.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 359 to 34 and 10 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.83% or 10.71 to $1308.21 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.97% or 1.00 to hit $51.66 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 2.27% or 1.28 to trade at $57.70 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 1.50% to 3.5478, while EUR/TRY rose 0.62% to 4.2036.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.54% at 92.45.
