Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Wood, Paper & Printing, Technology and Transport sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 1.76% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Fenerbahce Futbol AS (IS:FENER), which rose 5.29% or 0.43 points to trade at 8.56 at the close. Meanwhile, Ulker Biskuvi Sanayi AS (IS:ULKER) added 4.83% or 0.87 points to end at 18.87 and Celebi Hava Servisi AS (IS:CLEBI) was up 4.64% or 3.40 points to 76.75 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Vestel Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:VESTL), which fell 7.66% or 0.870 points to trade at 10.490 at the close. Gozde Girisim Sermayesi Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:GOZDE) declined 6.95% or 0.230 points to end at 3.080 and Turkiye Petrol Rafinerileri AS (IS:TUPRS) was down 4.56% or 5.60 points to 117.10.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 295 to 80 and 29 ended unchanged.
Shares in Celebi Hava Servisi AS (IS:CLEBI) rose to all time highs; up 4.64% or 3.40 to 76.75.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.41% or 5.25 to $1286.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 1.26% or 0.78 to hit $61.34 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 0.80% or 0.56 to trade at $69.81 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.68% to 6.2256, while EUR/TRY rose 1.02% to 6.9905.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.25% at 97.143.
