Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Transport, Banking and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 1.66%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Otokar Otomotiv ve Savunma Sanayi AS (IS:OTKAR), which rose 6.45% or 8.00 points to trade at 132.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Yatas Yatak ve Yorgan Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:YATAS) added 5.40% or 1.300 points to end at 25.380 and Aksa Enerji Uretim AS (IS:AKSEN) was up 4.70% or 0.170 points to 3.790 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Turkiye Halk Bankasi (IS:HALKB), which fell 5.56% or 0.61 points to trade at 10.37 at the close. Turkiye Vakiflar Bankasi TAO (IS:VAKBN) declined 4.46% or 0.280 points to end at 6.000 and Yapi ve Kredi Bankasi AS (IS:YKBNK) was down 4.42% or 0.210 points to 4.540.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 255 to 105 and 43 ended unchanged.
Shares in Yatas Yatak ve Yorgan Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:YATAS) rose to all time highs; rising 5.40% or 1.300 to 25.380.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.54% or 6.92 to $1274.68 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.14% or 0.08 to hit $57.27 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.42% or 0.27 to trade at $64.00 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 1.47% to 3.8852, while EUR/TRY rose 1.14% to 4.4975.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.37% at 94.97.
