Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Technology, Leasing & Factoring and Non-Metal Mineral Products sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 1.53%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Global Yatirim Holding AS (IS:GLYHO), which rose 13.76% or 0.490 points to trade at 4.050 at the close. Meanwhile, Yatas Yatak ve Yorgan Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:YATAS) added 3.55% or 0.180 points to end at 5.250 and Hektas Ticaret TAS (IS:HEKTS) was up 3.17% or 0.460 points to 14.970 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Aselsan Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:ASELS), which fell 6.24% or 1.16 points to trade at 17.44 at the close. Polisan Holding AS (IS:POLHO) declined 6.06% or 0.140 points to end at 2.170 and Park Elektrik Uretim Madencilik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:PRKME) was down 5.90% or 0.180 points to 2.870.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 286 to 94 and 29 ended unchanged.
Shares in Global Yatirim Holding AS (IS:GLYHO) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 13.76% or 0.490 to 4.050. Shares in Hektas Ticaret TAS (IS:HEKTS) rose to all time highs; rising 3.17% or 0.460 to 14.970.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 2.31% or 34.35 to $1518.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 5.67% or 3.04 to hit $50.59 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 4.90% or 2.89 to trade at $56.05 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.53% to 5.4891, while EUR/TRY fell 0.19% to 6.1676.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.25% at 97.170.
