Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Banking, Financials and Transport sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 1.42%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE), which rose 7.84% or 0.410 points to trade at 5.640 at the close. Meanwhile, Turk Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:TTKOM) added 4.12% or 0.15 points to end at 3.79 and Celebi Hava Servisi AS (IS:CLEBI) was up 3.88% or 2.00 points to 53.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Turkiye Garanti Bankasi (IS:GARAN), which fell 4.80% or 0.37 points to trade at 7.34 at the close. Yatas Yatak ve Yorgan Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:YATAS) declined 4.37% or 0.190 points to end at 4.160 and Tat Gida Sanayi AS (IS:TATGD) was down 3.79% or 0.170 points to 4.310.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 227 to 120 and 59 ended unchanged.
Shares in Celebi Hava Servisi AS (IS:CLEBI) rose to all time highs; rising 3.88% or 2.00 to 53.50.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.28% or 3.30 to $1192.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.82% or 1.33 to hit $74.58 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.91% or 1.58 to trade at $84.31 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 1.81% to 5.9463, while EUR/TRY fell 2.14% to 6.8833.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 94.97.
