Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Technology, Telecoms and Transport sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 1.36%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Park Elektrik Uretim Madencilik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:PRKME), which rose 3.83% or 0.080 points to trade at 2.170 at the close. Meanwhile, Polisan Holding AS (IS:POLHO) added 3.23% or 0.080 points to end at 2.560 and Dogtas Kelebek Mobilya Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:DGKLB) was up 3.06% or 0.030 points to 1.010 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kerevitas Gida Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KERVT), which fell 4.14% or 0.07 points to trade at 1.62 at the close. Gentas Genel Metal Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:GENTS) declined 3.73% or 0.060 points to end at 1.550 and Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN) was down 3.66% or 0.96 points to 25.30.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 230 to 105 and 72 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.08% or 1.05 to $1330.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.08% or 0.04 to hit $53.30 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 0.02% or 0.01 to trade at $62.28 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.74% to 5.8167, while EUR/TRY rose 0.79% to 6.5826.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 96.738.
