Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Transport, Banking and Basic Metals sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 1.27%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT), which rose 8.39% or 1.060 points to trade at 13.700 at the close. Meanwhile, Coca-Cola Icecek AS (IS:CCOLA) added 5.55% or 1.60 points to end at 30.44 and Fenerbahce Futbol AS (IS:FENER) was up 4.45% or 0.33 points to 7.75 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS Class D (IS:KRDMD), which fell 5.61% or 0.180 points to trade at 3.030 at the close. Celebi Hava Servisi AS (IS:CLEBI) declined 5.29% or 2.85 points to end at 51.00 and Ford Otomotiv Sanayi AS (IS:FROTO) was down 5.08% or 3.10 points to 57.95.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 243 to 125 and 38 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.02% or 0.30 to $1229.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.32% or 0.83 to hit $62.27 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 1.33% or 0.97 to trade at $72.20 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 1.68% to 5.4027, while EUR/TRY rose 1.79% to 6.1726.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 96.10.
