Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Basic Metals, Telecoms and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 1.21%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE), which rose 8.30% or 0.400 points to trade at 5.220 at the close. Meanwhile, MLP Saglik Hizmetleri AS (IS:MPARK) added 5.54% or 0.77 points to end at 14.67 and Kordsa Global Endustriyel Iplik ve Kord Bezi Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KORDS) was up 4.83% or 0.52 points to 11.28 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS Class D (IS:KRDMD), which fell 5.28% or 0.140 points to trade at 2.510 at the close. Turk Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:TTKOM) declined 4.24% or 0.23 points to end at 5.20 and Anel Elektrik Proje Taahhut ve Ticaret AS (IS:ANELE) was down 4.10% or 0.080 points to 1.870.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 239 to 120 and 46 ended unchanged.
Shares in Kordsa Global Endustriyel Iplik ve Kord Bezi Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KORDS) rose to all time highs; rising 4.83% or 0.52 to 11.28.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.81% or 10.65 to $1305.45 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 1.29% or 0.74 to hit $56.48 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 1.36% or 0.90 to trade at $65.41 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 1.21% to 5.3987, while EUR/TRY rose 1.31% to 6.1444.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.19% at 96.225.
