Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Technology, Food & Beverages and Transport sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.90%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Vestel Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:VESTL), which rose 16.80% or 1.510 points to trade at 10.500 at the close. Meanwhile, Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS) added 10.00% or 0.040 points to end at 0.440 and MLP Saglik Hizmetleri AS (IS:MPARK) was up 5.71% or 0.72 points to 13.34 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ihlas Gayrimenkul Proje Gelistirme ve Ticaret AS (IS:IHLGM), which fell 7.92% or 0.080 points to trade at 0.930 at the close. Kartonsan Karton Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KARTN) declined 6.71% or 26.90 points to end at 374.00 and Metro Ticari ve Mali Yatirimlar Holding AS (IS:METRO) was down 5.13% or 0.040 points to 0.740.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 227 to 126 and 54 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.22% or 2.95 to $1325.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 3.14% or 1.74 to hit $57.24 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 2.08% or 1.36 to trade at $66.72 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.24% to 5.3147, while EUR/TRY rose 0.15% to 6.0507.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 95.887.
