Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Transport, Basic Metals and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.89%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Torunlar Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:TRGYO), which rose 5.46% or 0.34 points to trade at 6.57 at the close. Meanwhile, Gubre Fabrikalari TAS (IS:GUBRF) added 3.66% or 0.19 points to end at 5.38 and ODAS Elektrik Uretim Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:ODAS) was up 3.43% or 0.200 points to 6.030 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS Class D (IS:KRDMD), which fell 4.96% or 0.130 points to trade at 2.490 at the close. Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT) declined 4.53% or 0.960 points to end at 20.240 and Turk Hava Yollari AO (IS:THYAO) was down 4.20% or 0.440 points to 10.030.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 232 to 128 and 49 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.41% or 5.50 to $1327.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.43% or 0.69 to hit $48.92 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 1.00% or 0.54 to trade at $54.81 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.65% to 3.4556, while EUR/TRY rose 0.02% to 4.1128.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.51% at 92.36.
