Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Banking, Financials and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.88%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Park Elektrik Uretim Madencilik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:PRKME), which rose 6.81% or 0.250 points to trade at 3.920 at the close. Meanwhile, Aksa Enerji Uretim AS (IS:AKSEN) added 3.46% or 0.120 points to end at 3.590 and Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) was up 3.44% or 0.170 points to 5.110 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tumosan Motor ve Traktor Sanayi AS (IS:TMSN), which fell 7.96% or 0.610 points to trade at 7.050 at the close. Kiler Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:KLGYO) declined 5.44% or 0.280 points to end at 4.870 and Otokar Otomotiv ve Savunma Sanayi AS (IS:OTKAR) was down 5.26% or 6.50 points to 117.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 204 to 148 and 51 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.07% or 0.86 to $1291.34 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.55% or 0.32 to hit $58.34 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.05% or 0.03 to trade at $63.35 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.16% to 3.9236, while EUR/TRY rose 0.32% to 4.6507.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 93.10.
