Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Technology, Transport and Chemical, Petroleum & Plastic sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.87%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Borusan Birlesik Boru Fabrikalari Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:BRSAN), which rose 9.97% or 41.50 points to trade at 457.75 at the close. Meanwhile, Borusan Yatirim ve Pazarlama AS (IS:BRYAT) added 9.97% or 200.00 points to end at 2,207.00 and Hektas Ticaret TAS (IS:HEKTS) was up 4.22% or 0.49 points to 12.09 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tofas Turk Otomobil Fabrikasi AS (IS:TOASO), which fell 4.10% or 10.00 points to trade at 233.70 at the close. AG Anadolu Group Holding (IS:AGHOL) declined 3.88% or 13.50 points to end at 334.00 and Is Yatirim Menkul Degerler AS (IS:ISMEN) was down 3.78% or 1.40 points to 35.62.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 290 to 272 and 14 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.55% or 13.80 to $2,513.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 4.15% or 3.05 to hit $70.50 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 4.57% or 3.54 to trade at $73.98 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.40% to 34.02, while EUR/TRY rose 0.11% to 37.55.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 101.75.
