Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Leasing & Factoring, Basic Metals and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.83% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Vakif Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:VKGYO), which rose 11.59% or 0.190 points to trade at 1.830 at the close. Meanwhile, Fenerbahce Futbol AS (IS:FENER) added 8.21% or 0.61 points to end at 8.04 and Ege Endustri ve Ticaret AS (IS:EGEEN) was up 4.21% or 16.80 points to 416.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS Class D (IS:KRDMD), which fell 6.02% or 0.200 points to trade at 3.120 at the close. Bizim Toptan Satis Magazalari AS (IS:BIZIM) declined 5.22% or 0.36 points to end at 6.54 and Eregli Demir ve Celik Fabrikalari TAS (IS:EREGL) was down 5.08% or 0.500 points to 9.350.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 214 to 133 and 60 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.14% or 1.70 to $1231.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.40% or 0.93 to hit $67.36 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.77% or 0.59 to trade at $77.03 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 1.26% to 5.6722, while EUR/TRY fell 1.95% to 6.4648.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.46% at 96.15.
