Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Leasing & Factoring, Transport and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.73%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA), which rose 5.11% or 0.300 points to trade at 6.170 at the close. Meanwhile, Deva Holding AS (IS:DEVA) added 4.84% or 0.220 points to end at 4.770 and Tat Gida Sanayi AS (IS:TATGD) was up 3.33% or 0.140 points to 4.350 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Polisan Holding AS (IS:POLHO), which fell 9.27% or 0.240 points to trade at 2.350 at the close. Sok Marketler (IS:SOKM) declined 4.53% or 0.37 points to end at 7.80 and Vestel Elektronik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:VESTL) was down 4.44% or 0.420 points to 9.030.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 256 to 96 and 49 ended unchanged.
Shares in Deva Holding AS (IS:DEVA) rose to 52-week highs; rising 4.84% or 0.220 to 4.770.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.03% or 0.45 to $1296.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.74% or 0.46 to hit $62.24 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 1.31% or 0.93 to trade at $72.17 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.49% to 5.9954, while EUR/TRY fell 0.48% to 6.7214.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 97.303.
