Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Transport, Basic Metals and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.66%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ege Endustri ve Ticaret AS (IS:EGEEN), which rose 6.01% or 18.70 points to trade at 329.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Bizim Toptan Satis Magazalari AS (IS:BIZIM) added 4.65% or 0.36 points to end at 8.11 and Koza Altin Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAL) was up 3.75% or 1.20 points to 33.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Celebi Hava Servisi AS (IS:CLEBI), which fell 5.46% or 1.84 points to trade at 31.86 at the close. Gozde Girisim Sermayesi Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:GOZDE) declined 5.15% or 0.300 points to end at 5.520 and Turk Hava Yollari AO (IS:THYAO) was down 4.04% or 0.790 points to 18.750.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 239 to 129 and 40 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 1.22% or 15.90 to $1321.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.93% or 0.57 to hit $60.42 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 0.56% or 0.36 to trade at $63.47 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.32% to 3.8184, while EUR/TRY rose 0.64% to 4.7007.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.22% at 90.02.
