Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Transport, Tourism and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.61%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Zorlu Enerji Elektrik Uretim AS (IS:ZOREN), which rose 3.45% or 0.050 points to trade at 1.500 at the close. Meanwhile, Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS) added 3.23% or 0.010 points to end at 0.320 and Yatas Yatak ve Yorgan Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:YATAS) was up 3.18% or 0.160 points to 5.190 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Turk Hava Yollari AO (IS:THYAO), which fell 5.18% or 0.790 points to trade at 14.450 at the close. Tofas Turk Otomobil Fabrikasi AS (IS:TOASO) declined 4.46% or 0.87 points to end at 18.63 and Besiktas Futbol Yatirimlari Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:BJKAS) was down 3.83% or 0.070 points to 1.760.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 243 to 119 and 44 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.11% or 1.45 to $1313.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 1.70% or 0.89 to hit $53.30 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 1.87% or 1.15 to trade at $62.66 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.19% to 5.2641, while EUR/TRY rose 0.07% to 5.9510.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.18% at 96.678.
