Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Banking, Financials and Transport sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.52%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were CarrefourSA Carrefour Sabanci Ticaret Merkezi AS (IS:CRFSA), which rose 9.33% or 0.46 points to trade at 5.39 at the close. Meanwhile, Galatasaray Sportif Sinai ve Ticari Yatirimlar AS (IS:GSRAY) added 6.09% or 0.14 points to end at 2.44 and Turkiye Petrol Rafinerileri AS (IS:TUPRS) was up 5.58% or 5.55 points to 105.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT), which fell 6.94% or 1.030 points to trade at 13.820 at the close. Petkim Petrokimya Holding AS (IS:PETKM) declined 6.00% or 0.320 points to end at 5.010 and Zorlu Enerji Elektrik Uretim AS (IS:ZOREN) was down 5.42% or 0.090 points to 1.570.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 232 to 133 and 40 ended unchanged.
Shares in Petkim Petrokimya Holding AS (IS:PETKM) fell to 52-week lows; falling 6.00% or 0.320 to 5.010.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.02% or 0.20 to $1322.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.55% or 0.39 to hit $70.97 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 0.23% or 0.18 to trade at $77.29 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 1.65% to 4.3011, while EUR/TRY rose 1.92% to 5.1406.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 92.38.
