Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Food & Beverages, Basic Metals and Non-Metal Mineral Products sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.34%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Yatas Yatak ve Yorgan Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:YATAS), which rose 12.69% or 0.490 points to trade at 4.350 at the close. Meanwhile, Yapi ve Kredi Bankasi AS (IS:YKBNK) added 5.03% or 0.090 points to end at 1.880 and Bagfas Bandirma Gubre Fabrikalari AS (IS:BAGFS) was up 5.03% or 0.30 points to 6.26 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Turkiye Sise ve Cam Fabrikalari AS (IS:SISE), which fell 4.73% or 0.290 points to trade at 5.840 at the close. Trakya Cam Sanayi AS (IS:TRKCM) declined 2.93% or 0.130 points to end at 4.300 and Pegasus Hava Tasimaciligi AS (IS:PGSUS) was down 2.80% or 0.780 points to 27.080.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 196 to 150 and 62 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.76% or 9.00 to $1196.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.72% or 1.24 to hit $73.36 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 2.00% or 1.63 to trade at $83.01 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.40% to 6.0350, while EUR/TRY rose 0.14% to 7.0198.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 94.62.
