Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Sports, Basic Metals and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.25%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Agrotech Yuksek Teknoloji ve Yatirim AS (IS:AGROT), which rose 9.93% or 1.15 points to trade at 12.73 at the close. Meanwhile, Sekerbank TAS (IS:SKBNK) added 8.49% or 0.36 points to end at 4.60 and Gubre Fabrikalari TAS (IS:GUBRF) was up 4.72% or 10.50 points to 233.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fenerbahce Futbol AS (IS:FENER), which fell 9.97% or 11.40 points to trade at 103.00 at the close. Limak Dogu Anadolu Cimento Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:LMKDC) declined 5.46% or 1.48 points to end at 25.64 and Turkiye Vakiflar Bankasi TAO (IS:VAKBN) was down 3.75% or 0.92 points to 23.62.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 313 to 239 and 26 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.38% or 10.11 to $2,652.71 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.87% or 0.60 to hit $69.54 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 0.77% or 0.56 to trade at $73.04 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.31% to 34.65, while EUR/TRY rose 0.13% to 36.35.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 106.94.
